CIDA Takes Action for Cleaner Air in Port Arthur

At Community In-Power and Development Association Inc. (CIDA), we are deeply committed to ensuring a safer and healthier environment for Port Arthur residents. Over the past months, our team has been hard at work gathering critical air quality data using summa canisters and the BlueSky Air Monitoring System.

In collaboration with Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and Texas A&M University, we are collecting air samples to identify toxins and particles in our air. This valuable data will guide our efforts to advocate for new regulations aimed at reducing harmful pollutants and improving air quality.

Our mission is clear: to create a cleaner, healthier environment for our community in 2025 and beyond. Together, we can breathe easier and build a future where environmental justice prevails.
